14. Body Worn Cameras (BWCs)
In some stores, BWCs are used to protect staff and customers during incidents. These capture video and audio, with data encrypted and stored securely for 30 days unless needed for investigations. Access is limited to authorized personnel and law enforcement.
15. Facial Recognition
Facewatch facial recognition is used in some premises for crime prevention. We share incident details with Facewatch and receive alerts about known offenders. This is carried out under public interest legal bases. Signage is displayed where used.
